Roku is now offering a free 30-day trial of Paramount+’s Premium Plan, which costs $9.99 a month. Paramount+ normally offers just one week free before requiring you to subscribe.

The 30-day free trial offer must be redeemed by Friday, December 16. You can find it at the Roku web site or via the Roku Channel on the device’s app. (Note that you must cancel the service prior to the end of the 30 days or you will be billed for the first month.)

Paramount Plus features programming from all of Viacom’s brands, including CBS, Paramount Pictures, Comedy Central, Nickelodeon, BET and MTV. The lineup includes live programming from your local CBS affiliate (including NFL games) as well as local CBS news feeds from markets such as New York and Los Angeles.

In addition, Paramount+ has original programming including the recent release of Tulsa King, a comedy/drama starring Sylvester Stallone as a mobster who’s assigned to start a criminal enterprise in the Oklahoma city.

Paramount+ is also offering 50 percent off annual plans at its web site. With 50 percent off, the Paramount Plus Essential Plan, which includes ads, would be reduced from $49.99 to $24.99 for one year. The Premium Plan, which does not include ads (except during live programming), would cost $49.99 for the full year instead of the regular $99.99.

Both annual plans come with a free one-week trial.
