Peacock, the streaming service owned by NBC and Comcast, plans to add 44 new movies to its lineup next month, including one of the greatest crime dramas ever made.
The new films will include Casino, the Martin Scorsese-directed Las Vegas saga with Robert DeNiro and Joe Pesci as made men who ran the gambling empire before running it into the ground. Sharon Stone plays the hustling wife of DeNiro’s casino operator while James Woods, Kevin Pollack and Don Rickles serve up some memorable supporting performances. It’s Scorsese at his best and any comparison to Goodfellas is criminally unfair; Casino is a great movie on its own.

Also notable on Peacock in May: The first three Bourne films starring Matt Damon as the shadowy assassin who seeks revenge from his corrupt government handlers. (To learn how Damon almost didn’t get the role, read our article here.); Public Enemies, the entertaining 2009 drama with Johnny Depp as the stylish 1930s bank robber, John Dillinger; and Dazed and Confused, the goofy but amusing 1993 slice-of-life film (directed by Richard Linklater) about a Texas high school in 1976. The standout cast includes Matthew McConaughey, Ben Affleck, Parker Posey, Jason London, Joey Lauren Adams and Adam Goldberg.
