Netflix today has added 35 new movies to its streaming lineup, including some iconic dramas and a classic comedy.
The new titles include Scarface, the 1983 Brian DePalma film starring Al Pacino as a ruthless drug kingpin in 1980s Miami. While Pacino’s performance is over the top, it has become one of his most notable works thanks in part to a cartoonish finale in which he single-handedly tries to outshoot an army of assassins while coked to the max. There’s no way you leave the finish of this film without uttering at least once, ‘Say hello to my little friend!’
Also worth mentioning: Netflix today is adding the Back to the Future trilogy which stars Michael J. Fox as a wistful teenager who’s warped through time thanks to a time machine invented by a deliciously eccentric Christopher Lloyd; and Mystic River, the 2003 Boston-based drama starring Sean Penn as a small-time hood who investigates the murder of his daughter. Penn won the Academy Award for Best Actor for the role as did Tim Robbins for Supporting Actor as Penn’s lifelong friend who may be linked to the crime.
