Amazon next month (November 2020) plans to add 63 new movies to its Prime streaming lineup, including some guilty pleasures sure to bring out the ultra-large bags of popcorn.
The new titles will include the first three Underworld films starring Kate Beckinsale (pictured above) as a sexy, leather-clad vampire who wreaks vengeance on a much less-attractive clan of werewolves called Lycans; The Expendables ‘trilogy’ in which Sylvester Stallone and a band of testosterone-fueled action stars (Jason Statham, Terry Crews, Mickey Rourke, Bruce Willis and Arnold Schwarzenegger, among others) kill everything in sight. (But all for a good cause, of course.); Platoon, Oliver Stone’s searing 1986 Vietnam drama starring Charlie Sheen and Willem Dafoe; and Wall Street, another Stone-directed film starring Sheen as a morally-conflicted stock broker in the go-go 1980s. (But the real star of the film is Michael Douglas who’s Gordon Gekko remains one of cinema’s most iconic roles.)
Also notable: Borat Subsequent Movie Film, the sequel to Sacha Baron Cohen’s hit 2006 film, Borat, debuts October 23 on Amazon Prime.
